Implementation of agricultural projects for economic sustainability in the department of Norte de Santander.

– Lulo vital plots.

Encourages agricultural education and promotes sustainable practices. In addition, it generates employment, improves the local economy and provides fresh food.

Beneficiary Population: 15 families.

 

– Innovative corn field – hybrid corn.

It generates employment, improves the local economy, guarantees food security and promotes efficient and sustainable agricultural practices, positively impacting the community.

Beneficiary Population: 10 families.

 

-Implementation of a technical sugarcane production system as a proposal for productive improvement to the traditional system of sugarcane growers.

This project generates employment, boosts the local economy and offers training opportunities in new agricultural practices.

Beneficiary Population: 20 families.

 

-Construction and development of home gardens as an institutional strategy for food and nutritional security.

It has a positive social impact by promoting food security, self-sufficiency and health, as well as strengthening the community through the exchange of knowledge and resources.

Beneficiary Population: 10 families.

ACTIVITIES OF THE DUARTE MEDICAL EDUCATION INSTITUTE

These activities combine to offer students a comprehensive, hands-on education in nursing care.

Imparting theoretical knowledge on anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, medical ethics and basic medical procedures.

Provide opportunities for students to gain practical skills in clinical settings or simulations that recreate real situations.

Teach specific skills such as taking vital signs, administering medications, caring for wounds, and assisting with daily activities.

Offer laboratory practices so that students become familiar with the use of medical equipment and develop technical skills.

Teach ethical principles and effective communication skills to establish empathetic relationships with patients and collaborate efficiently with medical staff.



Provide direct supervision during clinical placements to ensure appropriate learning and safe application of knowledge and skills.

Arboledas – Beneficiary Population: 55 children and young people.

Cucutilla – Beneficiary Population: 74 children and young people.

Los Patios – Beneficiary Population: 424 students.

 

-Forming champions in our Basketball School.

In rural and urban areas, the project has positive impacts such as promoting physical activity, providing sports development opportunities, contributing to the construction of skills, strengthening discipline and promoting community integration, having a beneficial impact both personally and community development.

Cucutilla – Beneficiary Population: 86 children and young people.

– Sowing knowledge, reaping education.

Planting School Gardens has a positive impact by educating students about agriculture, encouraging healthy habits and promoting sustainability. In addition, it creates a sense of environmental responsibility, improving food security and strengthening students' connection with nature.

Ricaurte Province – Beneficiary Population: 13 educational centers (1,524 Students)

-Promoting oral health in our little ones.

Improves oral health, reduces dental problems and encourages oral hygiene habits from an early age. In addition, it contributes to education about the importance of dental health, promoting healthier smiles and generating a positive impact on the general well-being of the children's community.

Ricaurte Province – Beneficiary Population: 840 students.

-Strengthening lives: life skills and drug prevention program.

Protect health, improve academic performance and encourage informed decision-making, contributing to a safer school and social environment, enabling these young people to achieve their life projects.

Los Patios – Beneficiary Population: 432 students

Cúcuta – Beneficiary Population: 983 students

-Auxiliary Labor Technician in Nursing

Provides educational and employment opportunities in the healthcare sector. It contributes to the demand for nursing personnel, thus improving medical care in the community. It also provides beneficiaries with practical skills and specialized knowledge, empowering them to play a crucial role in healthcare and improving the quality of life in society.

The delivery of sports equipment encourages physical activity and healthy living, benefiting the physical and mental health of the beneficiaries.

 The inclusion of plants in donations promotes environmental awareness and care for the environment, contributing to sustainability.

By providing these resources, the program empowers disadvantaged people, giving them the tools necessary to improve their lives and actively participate in the community.

Food Package Donation

It strengthens food security, provides support to families in need and promotes community solidarity, thus improving the quality of life of those who receive help.

Location: Cúcuta – Beneficiary Population 4,000

Health Brigades

Improves overall health, promotes healthy practices and strengthens the connection between health professionals and the community, especially in these areas with limited access to medical services.

Location: Ricaurte Province – Beneficiary Population 152

Donations

It improves the living conditions of beneficiaries by providing access to appropriate footwear, encourages participation in sports activities for a healthy lifestyle, and facilitates access to education by providing essential school supplies. In addition, these actions contribute to the general well-being of the community, by supporting the educational development and physical well-being of the beneficiaries.

Location: FMD Headquarters – Beneficiary Population: 5000

Dinner and Healing Wounds Street Dweller

Addresses the basic food and health needs of people in vulnerable situations. These types of actions not only provide immediate relief, but also show empathy and support to those facing difficulties. In addition to being an important step to establish links that facilitate the connection of these people with broader social services.

Location: Cúcuta – Beneficiary Population: 300
